Fretal ("we", "us", or "our") operates the waitlist at join.fretal.com. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information we receive from waitlist signups.

We only collect the minimum information necessary to notify you when Fretal launches in Q1 2026.

Information We Collect

When you join our waitlist, we collect:

• Email address (required) - to notify you about launch
• Name (optional) - to personalize communications
• Interest area (optional) - to understand our audience
• Follower count (optional) - to estimate tier placement
• Referral data - to track referrals and calculate waitlist position

We do NOT collect: passwords, payment information, social security numbers, or any other sensitive personal data at this stage.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

• Send you a confirmation email when you join the waitlist
• Notify you when Fretal launches (expected Q1 2026)
• Send occasional updates about our progress (max 1-2 emails before launch)
• Calculate your waitlist position based on referrals
• Understand our audience demographics (aggregated, anonymous data only)

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using:

• Supabase (PostgreSQL database) - EU/US regions, SOC 2 Type II certified
• Resend (email service) - for transactional emails only

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

You have the right to:

• Access - Request a copy of your data
• Rectification - Correct inaccurate data
• Erasure - Delete your data (unsubscribe anytime)
• Data Portability - Export your data in machine-readable format
• Object - Opt out of communications

Cookies & Tracking

Our waitlist does NOT use tracking cookies, analytics, or third-party scripts. We only use a temporary session cookie for referral tracking (expires after 24 hours).

Data Retention

We retain your waitlist data until:

• You unsubscribe or request deletion
• Fretal launches and you create an account (data migrates to main platform)
• 12 months after launch if you don't create an account (automatic deletion)

Children's Privacy

Our waitlist is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify waitlist members of any material changes via email. Continued use of the waitlist after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
